How PROCare Improved Our Operation To Be a Stronger Accessible Bathroom Supply Chain Partner.

At PROCare, we spend every day working closely with housing associations, local authorities, OT teams, contractors and installers across the UK. We supply accessible bathrooms, wet rooms and independent living adaptations, and we know how important it is that these works happen quickly, safely and without errors. When a resident is waiting for an adaptation, every delay matters. When a housing team is under pressure, they need an accessible bathroom supply chain partner they can trust.

That is why we have been investing heavily behind the scenes to strengthen the way we work. Introducing Orderwise gave us the connected system we needed to scale properly and stay in control. Every order is now picked, labelled and tracked with far greater accuracy, and that shift has lifted the whole operation.
This year we reached a milestone we are genuinely proud of. We increased the number of orders we can process each day from around 50 to more than 200+, and our picking accuracy now sits at about 99%. It means fewer delays, fewer mistakes and a smoother experience for the housing teams, OT services, contractors and installers who rely on us.

We made these improvements because we want to be the most reliable supply chain partner in the sector. Social housing is changing fast. Resident expectations are rising. Occupational Therapists need accurate products and fast information. Housing officers need delays kept to a minimum. Contractors and installers need the right kit on site first time. And landlords need confidence that the adaptations they approve will be compliant, safe and durable.
That is why we keep improving. Our entire model is built around integration. We carry out thousands of OT-led surveys every year to make sure every installation is right first time. We gather detailed technical data, layout drawings, compliance checks and resident preferences so nothing is missed. This approach removes redesigns, avoids wasted visits and keeps programmes moving. It also strengthens asset data, which we know is becoming more important for landlords and housing associations.
We design product specifications with our partners so contractors and installers know exactly what to expect. We manufacture many of our adapted bathroom and wet room components ourselves. We offer one order and one invoice to reduce admin. And we run national logistics so materials arrive next day. We do all of this because we want to make the work easier for everyone involved.

Strengthening our warehouse processes has been a big step. We now track every single item using scanners and guided walk routes so nothing depends on memory. Every shower tray, grab rail, half height door set, wet room former or accessible kitchen product is labelled, scanned and checked. This accuracy means fewer deliveries going back and forth, fewer delays on site and fewer frustrations for housing teams who need certainty.
Behind the stats is a simple truth. We want to support people properly. We want to be the partner who reduces delays, not adds to them. We want residents to get the bathroom or wet room they need without being stuck in a backlog. We want contractors and installers to have everything they need to work efficiently and confidently. And we want OT teams and housing officers to know we take their work seriously.
The improvements we have made reflect what our partners tell us they value. Clear communication. Consistency. Quick surveys. Accurate orders. Reliable delivery. Personal service. The ability to recognise problems early and fix them without fuss. These qualities are what make a good accessible bathroom supply chain partner, and they are what we work to uphold every day.
We know the demand for accessible bathrooms, wet rooms and independent living products will continue to rise as the UK’s population changes. We intend to meet that challenge head on. We will keep improving our systems, our processes and our manufacturing so we can stay one step ahead of what the sector needs.

If you are a housing association, contractor, installer, architect or OT team looking for a supply chain partner who is committed to doing the job properly, we are here and ready to help.
