The Wash Cubicle for Social Housing & Hard-to-Adapt Homes

The only truly temporary, re-usable shower cubicle purpose-built for social housing, hard-to-adapt homes and a wide range of housing settings.

Engineered for durability and repeated use, this shower cubicle provides a fast, flexible and non-intrusive way to create an accessible bathroom wherever it’s needed. Its modular construction allows it to be installed, dismantled and relocated with ease - making it ideal for properties where traditional adaptations are impractical or too costly.

Ideal for social housing and homes where adaptation is challenging

Many properties - older homes, tenements, small bathrooms, listed buildings, void properties and temporary accommodation - are notoriously difficult to adapt. Our wash cubicle provides a practical, cost-effective solution that avoids major building work while still delivering a fully functional, accessible shower environment.
It’s suitable for:
  • General needs social housing
  • Temporary decants and emergency rehousing
  • Supported and sheltered housing
  • Hard-to-adapt homes (layout restrictions, structural limitations, heritage constraints)
  • Private rented accommodation where landlords seek minimal disruption
  • Void properties needing rapid, temporary solutions

Fast, hassle-free installation
Developed with social housing providers and contractors in mind, the wash pod requires minimal surveying and can be assembled in under two hours once services (water, waste, power, ventilation) are in place.
A full installation typically takes around two days - significantly quicker and less disruptive than traditional bathroom adaptations. This makes it an ideal solution for urgent adaptations, hospital discharge, or scenarios where a resident cannot be without facilities for long.

Exceptional watertight performance and easy access

Featuring a unique raised-lip shower tray that surrounds the entire cubicle, this shower pod offers one of the most watertight installations on the market - a key benefit for older housing stock and multi-storey properties. Our ‘Advantage’ doors include air-assisted hinges that lift the door clear of the tray lip for smooth, accessible opening. A gentle push returns the door to create a fully secure, watertight seal - protecting both tenants and properties.

Designed for re-use and long-term value

Perfect for social landlords looking to maximise budgets and preserve assets.
The hard-wearing high-pressure laminate panels and modular design enable repeated re-use across different homes with only minimal refurbishment.
Each relocation typically requires only:
  • replacement drainage components
  • new door seals
  • simple shower servicing
This drastically reduces long-term adaptation costs, especially in properties where permanent installations aren’t suitable.

Compact, complete and fully contained

With a typical footprint of 1200 x 1000mm and a height of 1850mm, the shower cubicle delivers a fully functional shower room without the need for major structural changes.
Options include:
  • Electric shower
  • Handrails
  • Ceiling light & extractor fan
  • Gravity or pumped drainage
  • Shower seats
  • Wheelchair ramps

All drainage is neatly housed beneath the tray, enabling installation in diverse property types, including upper-floor flats and tight internal spaces.

Safe, hygienic and designed for independent living

The wash cubicle is built to be easy to clean, safe to use and comfortable for residents with a wide range of needs - including older people, disabled residents, and those recovering from illness or injury.
It delivers the right blend of dignity, safety and accessibility while offering landlords a practical, reusable asset they can redeploy to where it’s needed most.
