PROCare Wins Supply Chain Partner of the Year at the Northern Housing Awards

There are some nights where you go along hoping to catch up with good people, enjoy the atmosphere and maybe sneak a dessert you definitely do not need... Then there are nights where you come home with a trophy.

We are incredibly proud to share that PROCare has won Supply Chain Partner of the Year at the Northern Housing Awards!

For everyone across PROCare, this one means a lot. Because this award is not about one product or one project. It recognises how we work with housing providers, occupational therapists, contractors and other partners every day to help adaptations happen faster, smoother and with less stress for everyone involved.

More than a supplier

At PROCare, we have never seen ourselves as simply a bathroom supplier. Housing teams do not only need another catalogue and a delivery note. They need a trusted partner that helps solve problems.

That means:

• National OT led surveys

• One order and one invoice

• Next day delivery

• In house manufacturing

• Technical support and design input

• Faster decision making

• Better communication

And often, it means helping when things get difficult. Because behind every adaptation request is a real person waiting for support.

Sometimes that means helping speed up a hospital discharge. Sometimes it means helping a housing provider tackle growing waiting lists. Sometimes it means making sure somebody can safely use their own bathroom again. That’s what drives us.

The work behind the award

Over the last year we have continued investing in systems, services and partnerships that make life easier for our customers.

That has included:

• Carrying out more than 15,000 specialist surveys every year

• Supporting more than 20,000 installations annually

• Strengthening traceability and asset information

• Improving delivery performance to next day service

• Supporting landlords with better planning and forecasting

• Helping reduce delays and costly variations

One example involved supporting a housing provider facing a backlog of more than 300 adaptations. By deploying rapid survey support and digitally capturing technical information, we helped clear the backlog and reduce tenant waiting times by over six months.  That’s not just a supply chain improvement, that’s six months less waiting for people who needed support.

Partnerships are everything

One thing we have learned over 25 years is simple... The best projects happen when people work properly together.

That includes housing teams, contractors, OTs, surveyors, installers and suppliers all pulling in the same direction.

Martin Spence from Housing 21 summed it up perfectly: "Housing 21 have worked with PROCare for many years, and the strength of our relationship is built on trust, consistency and shared values."

That trust matters. Because when bathroom adaptations are delayed, it is never just about products. Delays affect independence, wellbeing and people's day to day lives.

A huge thank you

Thank you to the Northern Housing Awards

Thank you to our customers, partners and everyone who continues to trust us.
